A rare coincidence: The full ‘Strawberry Moon’ meets the summer solstice
Today is the longest day of the year, Monday June 20th, 2016. The solstice will be peaking at 6:34 p.m. EDT. When a full moon also coincides with the Summer Solstice, it’s called a Strawberry Moon, named for when Algonquin tribes used the solstice as a signal for when fruits were ready for picking.
This mysticmamma article says: “Alchemical magic this second FULL MOON in Sagittarius coinciding with the SOLSTICE!
Both SUN and MOON at their peak align to bring us illumination of the patterns that need to be rewoven within our own psyche, within our relationships and within the greater collective Reality. The arrow of Truth is swift and on point bearing the way.
On this ¤FULL MOON SOLSTICE¤ day, take time to be still and connect your heart to the beating, pulsing heart of the cosmos. Like our ancestors before us, we are reminded that we are part of it, an intrinsic part of the cosmic weave.”
On that note, find a summer solstice gathering near you!!!
