Reverence for Nature > Let Indigenous people Guide

If this is in fact true, it is fantastic to hear!

There is the concept of God, which is man made, like drilling for oil to fuel man’s cars and desire for immediate gratification….and then there are actual creatures, you know, elk, caribou, whales, frogs…which are living beings on this planet, whose homes are territories which humans continue to encroach upon and destroy. The earth is a sacred, life giving place and these creatures are sacred and spectacular. We humans should switcheroo, dramatically change the way we look at our earth and its creatures, to pray and honor these, instead of Nike shoes and iPhones. If it takes ingesting psychedelics to instigate this change of perspective for humans to actually see and realize the value of protecting the earth and the natural world, then let the psilocybin ceremonies and sacred congregations begin. God is not ‘up there’ or ‘out there’, DOG is GOD, our earth and all of the living systems intertwined, rivers, air, soil, insects, worms…are ALL SACRED. Let’s learn from Indigenous people and allow them to guide us, and stop paying homage to men in business suits who wear ties. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/06/climate/biden-drilling-alaska-wildlife-refuge.html?nl=todaysheadlines&emc=edit_th_20230907
